Acupuncture has been known to help with a very wide range of health issues. The most common of which being pain management. By stimulating the body’s natural healing processes, acupuncture helps your overall well-being for improving sleep, reducing inflammation and treating digestive function. With acupuncture therapies, it can also help with headaches, allergies (e.g. hay fever, seasonal, food allergy), back pain, and even aid in the treatment of the common cold and flu.
So most issues from chronic pain to even helping with auto immune issues, acupuncture can help.
The amount of time the effects of acupuncture treatments last does depend on various factors that includes but not limited to, your age, symptoms, and other treatments you may be receiving. After the first few sessions, your acupuncturist will have a better idea of what your healing process looks like.
-
It depends.
Your acupuncturist will provide you with a personalized treatment plan after diagnostics. In general, chronic issues tend to require more treatments while acute conditions tend to be quickly resolved.
Depending on your preferences and needs, many of our patients like to sustain regular maintenance every 1-2 weeks. Others like to keep more or less treatments often based on their symptoms and/or goals.

APIT is one of the acupuncture therapy techniques that certified AIT acupuncturists use to stimulate specific acupoints in the body with natural substance injection(s). This creates a dual effect of acupoint stimulation and the homeopathic effect of the injected substance to promote energy flow and restore balance to support the body’s innate healing processes without the use of synthetic substances or harsh chemicals. This targeted approach can provide swift and effective relief based on each patient’s unique needs to address a variety of symptoms.
Benefits include: pain reduction, inflammation reduction, improvement of the immune system, and promotion of the body’s natural healing process.
We offer homeopathic and nutraceuticals (e.g. Vitamin B-12, Vitamin D3).

Even if you don't want acupuncture, there are many other needle less options available to our patients. Everything from manual therapies to even auricular (Ear-based) treatments that use no needles, can be very effective and still utilize the same system of medicine based on the same methods used in standard acupuncture practice.

Moxibustion is one of the oldest therapeutic practices with a long history as this traditional Chinese medical practice came about at the same time as acupuncture. The application is straightforward with profound effects but still remains one of the least known practices in western medicine.
It is the slow burning of compressed, dried mugwort leaves (moxa) at specific acupoints that can either be directly on the skin, on a medium (e.g. needle tip) placed on the skin, or indirectly passing above the skin. This heat differs from infrared heat as the moxa penetrates tissue more deeply than other conventional heat sources with its combination of natural anti-inflammatory moxa-smoke effects. With its generated warmth, the moxa stimulates the body to promote circulation, restore balance, and reduce pain. This treatment is usually combined with acupuncture for best results in treating chronic conditions and many other ailments.
Please note, the moxa will produce a potent smoke.

Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupuncture) is one of the gentle and non-invasive acupuncture techniques. The outer ear functions as a tiny map and is one of the most accessible areas where this holistic approach can influence a full-body healing. It’s a simple yet powerful way to stimulate specific acupoints on the ear through various mediums (e.g. small pellets/vaccaria seeds, tiny metal balls, very fine needles, or light pressure) to restore and rebalance the internal systems.

Cosmetic Acupuncture focuses on the deeper muscle layer to promote circulation, lift, and soften wrinkles from within.
How it works: Fine needles are placed in specific facial points to increase blood flow, stimulate collagen production, and support the muscles and nervous system. It’s good for all ages and recommended to book every six weeks, 2-3 sessions.
Microneedling focuses on the more superficial layers of the skin to improve texture, tone, and visible signs of aging.
How it works: Tiny controlled micro-injuries create micro channels in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and stimulating collagen and elastin. For people under the age of 45, it is recommended to have one session every 6 weeks. For ages 45-60, one session every 5 weeks. For age 60 and up, one session every 4-5 weeks.
Key Differences between the two treatments: Cosmetic acupuncture works on the muscle layer and deeper tissue. This is best for muscle tone, deeper wrinkles, and overall facial rejuvenation. The results develop over time and improve with consistency. Whereas, Microneedling works on the epidermis and upper dermis (superficial layers). This is best for texture, tone, and fine lines. There is minimal downtime and results build over several sessions.
Please Note:
Combining Microneedling and Cosmetic Acupuncture address both the surface and deeper layers of the skin for comprehensive, natural rejuvenation. However, the two treatments cannot be booked on same day, back-to-back. There needs to be at least 72 hours (3 days) in between the two sessions.
