Acupuncture Physician

before ever placed a needle, he was running into the calls most people run from. Years as a paramedic and firefighter, including time in Level-1 trauma, taught him how the human body breaks, bleeds, and bounces back. As both an athlete and a coach, he's lived through his own injuries and the integrative medicine that brought him back.

Dr. Vaughan is a Florida-licensed Acupuncture Physician with a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM). His clinical focus is pain, joint and musculoskeletal recovery, and whole-body performance for kids and adults alike, athletes, weekend warriors, and active seniors. His favorite modalities are acupoint injection therapy and exstore acupuncture, an orthopedic-neurology-based system that pairs precise motor-point treatment with on-the-spot functional retesting, so you can feel the change before you leave the room.

If you've been told there's nothing more that can be done for your aching joints, arthritis, or that injury, old or new, this is exactly the kind of work he became an acupuncturist to do.

Before beginning her journey into acupuncture, she spent 8 years working in Human Resources, where she found fulfillment in connecting with people, supporting them, and making a positive difference in their lives. Her lifelong interest in holistic health and discovering sustainable ways to help the body heal had eventually led her to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Florida College of Integrative Medicine, with training in acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, electroacupuncture, and other palliative therapies. Outside of her practice, Vanita loves spending time outdoors, being surrounded by nature, and continually learning about new ways to support the body, mind, and overall well-being.
